Prospects Who Need A Chrome Auto

While we all wait for the 2018 Bowman Checklist to be finalized check out the names below. The prospects listed are on my wishlist to sign a Bowman Chrome card this year.

Washington Nationals - Carter Kieboom - Exciting prospect with multiple tools.

Minnesota Twins -Akil Badoo - Good prospect still who is still growing into his power potential.

Arizona Diamondbacks - Daulton Varsho - Rare catcher prospect that I like. Impressive first season in A ball.

St Louis Cardinals - Carson Kelly - Another catching prospect that I like. Expect to see him in the Majors this year.

  1. I have a question regarding Carter Kieboom and prospect cards general. I for no particular reason picked Kieboom to start collecting. Strong baseball family, nice tools, perfect baseball name, etc. I soon realized he had no official bowman auto. I pulled the prime signature number to 75 in 17 chrome and I basically bought the rainbow for 17 platinum autos, even got a few graded including a black numbered to 10 BGS 9.5!! I was wondering will these be valuable if he is legit or will his 1st bowman be king no matter what? What if he doesn't get a card until he hits the show and therefore doesn't have a prospect card with a 1st bowman logo? Then will those older autos raise in value? Thanks

    1. Hello Mark. Thanks for your comment and sorry for the delay. The first Bowman auto will always be the most desired but that does not mean you cannot make a profit on other cards. Kieboom is in a good market and if he is legit I think there is money to be made. I tend to only focus on the Bowman auto but since Carter does not have one right now it was a very smart move by you to grab a few. If there is a delay with him signing a Chrome auto, his autos on the market will have demand. In addition, even if he does sign a Bowman Chrome Auto you should be OK. Prices will go up no matter what. Sometimes the Chrome auto prices become too high and collectors will focus on the next in line far as popularity (Bowman Platinum, Bowman Best, etc.).
