Flaherty went to the same high school as Max Fried and Lucas Giolito so he may have been overshadowed a bit, but the first round talent is there. Apparently, he has an elite changeup already, a pitch that can bode very well for a high schooler rising up the ranks.
Alex Verdugo - beastly .353 avg in rookie ball - his 2014 Bowman Chrome Draft Autographs are here - http://goo.gl/hjmPq4
Well, what can you say about a hitter who hits .353 with a .421 OBP, and a BB:K ratio of 20 BB to only 18 K. Throw in 11 SB and you have a huge asset on the diamond.
Monte Harrison - 32 SB 2 CS in 50 games - 2014 Bowman Chrome Draft Autos here - http://goo.gl/rN8bYJ
Harrison looks to be your prototypical leadoff hitter with a tremendous stolen base rate of 94%, and an impressive .402 OBP (compared to only a .269 avg.). This kid is also a flat out athlete who turned down a football scholarship to play Wide Receiver at Nebraska. They say his upside is as good as any in the draft (think: Bubba Starling-esque potential... hopefully panning out better than Bubba)
Bradley Zimmer 2014 Bowman Chrome Draft Autographs are a STRONG BUY - get them here - http://goo.gl/LlYZZj
Zimmer seems to be a multi-tool prospect who can hit .302 avg, take a walk .400 OBP, hit for power 20 XBH in 179 ABs, and run (12 SB). His K rate is also very respectable.
Kyle Freeland 2014 Bowman Draft Autographs - 3-0 1.15 ERA in Rookie Ball - http://goo.gl/KZ0tn1
Freeland also boasted an amazing groundball rate (2 GO/AO), which led to allowing only 1 home run in 39 IP.
