Player of the Week - Bradley Zimmer

BUY BRADLEY ZIMMER HERE

If I have to beat you over the head with it, I will.  Bradley Zimmer.  Player of the Week via Milb.com

"Eastern League
Bradley Zimmer, Akron (CLE)
(.400/.500/.850, 6 G, 8-for-20, 3 HR, 7 RBI, 7 R, 5 BB, 6 K, 1 CS)
It might seem like a stretch to call a first-round pick a breakout star, but Zimmer, who was taken 21st overall last year, is certainly becoming that as he's jumped from being unranked in MLB.com's top-100 ranking of prospects to his current spot at No. 31. The Indians' top prospect has officially transitioned into life at Double-A ball by collecting multiple hits in three of his six games last week, a stretch that pushed his Eastern League slash line up to .271/.378/.514. By going deep three times -- two of which came Tuesday -- he pushed his 2015 home run total to 16 between Akron and Class A Advanced Lynchburg. Combine that power with his 39 steals and his plus defense in center field, and it's easy to see why the Tribe should be excited about what they have in the 22-year-old. "

Nomar Mazara (OF, Rangers) Promoted to AAA

  • Age: 20 (April 26, 1995)
  • Birthplace: Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
  • Bats/Throws: L/L
  • Ht: 6' 4" Wt: 195

After hitting .284 with 37 extra base hits for AA Frisco, Nomar Mazara (a 20 year old OF prospect for Texas) was promoted to AAA Round Rock.  I discussed Mazara before the year started here and not much has changed, which is good.

I highly recommend buying some of his 2012 Bowman Chrome Autos here --  MAZARA EBAY LISTINGS

Lewis Brinson

Selected by the Texas Rangers in the first round (29th overall) of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of Coral Springs (Fla.) High School
2012 Bowman Chrome Draft Autograph

Brinson tore up the CAL league (as many hitters do) earlier this year to the tune of .337 - 13 HR - 42 RBI - 13 SB - 258 AB, but has not missed a step after his promotion to AA, where he is hitting .400 with 2 HR and 14 RBI in only 10 games.

Brinson is riding a 9 game hitting streak in AA, and 7 of those games are multi hit games.  He should vault up prospect lists by the start of next year.  Get in on these now.
