Scouting Report:

Jacob Gatewood has light tower power, and even impressed pro ballplayers as a high schooler with the show he put on when he won the 2013 high school home run derby.  His problem has been pitch recognition, and needs that to be ironed out before we can get excited about the power potential, but if he learns to be a hitter, he can be special.

Scouting Report:

Monte Harrison was a 2 way athlete in high school (turned down a football scholarship to Nebraska) and racked up 1,000 receiving yards and hit .400+ his senior year of high school.  He's a gifted athlete with a good feel for the strike zone at such a young age, as he led the AZL in walks.

He has tremendous speed and instincts on the basepaths stealing 32 and getting caught just twice.  Many scouts believe the power will come and if it does, his upside is through the roof (John Sickels claims Andrew McCutchen -esque upside.  Wow.

Scouting Report:

Miguel Sano is all over the top of the Top 100 prospect rankings lists this preseason despite missing all of last year due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right (throwing) elbow.  He suffered the injury in March, and needed Tommy John surgery.  That was originally a bad run on sentence, says the voice in my head.

But speaking of voices and bad transitions, Sano rates an 80 on the power scale and can hit the ball out of any park to any field.  Sano is very exciting to watch (think Giancarlo Stanton), and also has a rifle for an arm which I hope can heal so people can watch Sano in full effect.

Sano is basically the type of $50 base chrome auto that can reach $100 in a week if Sano catches some serious fire, but I do believe he is a legit power hitter who can put on a show and one day, make plenty of sportscasters on ESPN say cliche comments and make noises when he makes the highlight reels for his bombs.  Okay yeah, that was probably a run on sentence.  But still, Sano is a BUY rating for the high enders out there.

Speaking of high end collectors, I have a little box you can click for donations (look up top) :)

As always, ANY and ALL donations are greatly appreciated!!!

Verdict:

If you can afford Sano...  Buy him here.
