Francisco Lindor is an interestingly high rated prospect because he does everything pretty well, but it can be argued that he does not do any of those things at an elite level.  The word that comes to mind is just "solid" and "safe".

Lindor is a smart ballplayer with instincts.  At the plate he has decent discipline and does not strike out a lot.  He'll put the ball in play but rarely over the wall.  On the basepaths, his stolen base totals are deceiving because he was actually thrown out 30% of the time, so those steals might not be there at the higher levels with more talented catchers.  In the field, he is smooth with a plus arm and a plus-plus glove.  He can get to most balls hit his way.

So, what we have is a major league ready shortstop who will probably have a long and decent career, but it is hard to envision a true star, as you normally see from prospects ranked as high as he is.  He can probably top out as a .280 hitter with 10 HR and 20 SB, with a chance to develop into a gold glove contending shortstop.  It doesn't blow your socks off as these are high ranged numbers, but I also think his floor is very high and there is minimal risk with him.
