Sleeper Bargain Prospects Off to Hot Starts (2012 Bowman Chrome Draft Autos)

Prospect Sleepers Who Are Off to Hot Starts (2012 BDPP Autos)

Players on this list are:

  • Prospects with chrome autographs in 2012 Bowman Chrome Draft
  • On the low end of the pricing scale (typically less than $10 per base auto)
  • Off to good starts, as of April 22, 2013 (typically sub 3.00 ERA or .300+ avg, or some intriguing stat)
  1. Chris Stratton
  2. James Ramsey
  3. Kevin Plawecki
  4. Mitch Haniger
  5. Nick Williams
  6. Nolan Fontana
  7. Shane Watson
  8. Tyler Naquin
Note:  Many of the kids from 2012 Bowman Chrome Draft have yet to start their debut seasons.  Nick Williams is not really low end any more as his torrid start to the season has already increased his stock, but he's worth mentioning.  The most intriguing name on the list for me is Kevin Plawecki.  He is technically blocked by arguably the best catching prospect in baseball (Travis D'Arnaud), but it's hard to ignore his numbers (.381/.444/.667 slash line) as compared to the low price of his autos (about $5/per base).

  5. J.R. Graham
  6. Joe Ross

Note:  It seems like the prospects (esp. the lower end guys) with autos from 2012 BC are having a tough time getting things going, aside from a few studs like Cingrani, Taveras, Hultzen.  Of the guys above, Brad Miller, JR Graham, and Joe Ross get my STRONG BUY nod of approval.
