Top 100 Prospect Hitters of Note

Using the list of graded tools of Baseball America's Top 100 prospects, we can easily highlight the best hitters.

There are five tools for hitters and only 2 matter when it comes to prospecting with Bowman Chrome autos. Forget Defense and Arm. I promise, you cannot find a valuable BC auto of a player who fields well but can't hit. Also, throw out speed. Stolen bases are a common trap that's easy to fall into. Last year, I invested in some Delino Deshields BC autos. He was better than I could have hoped, and topped 100 SB's. Yet his chrome autos never budged.

So we're left with only these tools: Bat and Power. You can argue one may be more important, but it's easier than that. To find the best hitters, I just scanned for anyone whose combined Bat and Power scored at least 125.

It's no coincidence that this list is full of players who now have the most expensive/hottest BC autos... just remember we had access to this information before the season began. So if we took 5 minutes to make this list preseason, had a large bankroll, and bought these autos, we would've made some nice cash.
