ANDREW CHAFIN
Chafin has great peripheral numbers and has been a victim of inflated hitting stats in the CAL league. He was just promoted to AA which means he's no longer in CAL.
Chafin's FIP is a very good 2.91, and gets 9.29 k/9 IP. He has some control issues (but looked good over the last 2 starts), and he has proven he has swing and miss stuff. It could be interesting seeing him pitch in a league other than CAL, and with low end 2012 Bowman Chrome autos, I think he's a nice sleeper play.
The book on him is that he's got great movement low in the zone, making him a heavy groundball pitcher - a 90-95 mph heater, plus slider, and a solid changeup. His ceiling is as high as a #2 or #3 starting pitcher.
He's the kind of prospect that makes me say, "Hey, why not..."
